War memorials are a familiar and cherished part of Hillingdon and are a poignant reminder of all the local people who lost their lives in 2 world wars and other armed conflicts.
WW1 Book of Remembrance
Our WW1 Book of Remembrance (PDF, 20 MB) is a record of those who lost their lives during the First World War (1914 to 1918) and are commemorated in the borough of Hillingdon.
Physical copies are available to view in our libraries and include an insert ( Addendum October 2023 (PDF, 2 MB)) of updated information.

Some are publicly accessible (for example, town centre cenotaphs or graveyard crosses), while others take the form of windows, wall tablets or other monuments in the borough's churches.
