Family Fishing Fun Days

Family Fishing Fun Days

Now in their ninth year, our free Family Fishing Fun Days are back for summer 2017.

The popular council-run events, which are open to residents of all ages, will take place on:

You don't need to be an experienced angler to attend and take part, as it's a welcoming day where you can experience a new pastime and have fun as a family, with friends or on your own. All equipment and bait will be provided for free.

There will be hourly angling sessions guided by experienced volunteer anglers and you'll be able to meet angling legend Keith Arthur. Other free activities include river dipping, bird box making, face painting and a bouncy castle.

You need to register for fishing on the day, with places offered on a first come, first served basis.

Gerrards Cross and Uxbridge District Angling Society

The club offers members a choice of styles of angling, with matches held on their own waters and also on other waters. The Slough arm of the Grand Union canal is fishable in the close season. Most of the club's fisheries are members only, and on some you can park within 6 feet from the bank so you can be fishing without any long walks.
