Reserve and collect service

This library offers a reserve and collect service, where library members will be able to collect items that they have reserved for themselves or anyone living in the same household.

You will also be able to collect on behalf of neighbours and relatives who have reserved items and hearing aid batteries will also be available to pick up.

1. Find a book or item you want to reserve
Search our online catalogue at any time.

Alternatively, call Ickenham Library on  01895 558271 between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Saturday .

2. Place a hold

Once you've found a book you want to read, select 'Place hold' and enter your library card and PIN. Select which library you'd like to pick the item up from and select 'Place hold'. You can reserve up to 5 items.

Not sure what your PIN is? Select 'Forgot your PIN'.

3. Wait for a call

Our library staff will look for the reserved item and, if in stock, will send it to your chosen branch. We'll give you a call to let you know that it's ready to collect.

4. Collect your item

Visit Ickenham Library between 10am and 2pm, Monday to Saturday, to collect your item. Reserved items will be kept for collection for 10 days from  when we call you.

When collecting an item, please bring with you your own bag for our staff to place the items in and follow social distancing rules. We ask that you wear a face covering, for your safety and for the safety of others during your visit.

Returning books

  • Items can be borrowed for up to 6 weeks without incurring a fine.
  • To return an item, please use the designated boxes in the foyer of the library or (where available) via the dropbox.

Visitor parking vouchers

Visitor parking vouchers are not currently available at this library - please call Parking Services on 01895 250633 to purchase visitor vouchers.
