The Hillingdon LeisureLink scheme provides savings on leisure activities to a number of concessionary groups.

About the LeisureLink card

From as little as £2, a number of concessionary groups can benefit from discounted activities, including swimming, gym, fitness classes, and some junior activities, at the below leisure centres. Discounts vary depending on the day and time of your visit. 

Swimming for over-65s

If you are an adult Hillingdon library member, your LeisureLink card will also give you concessionary rates for borrowing CDs and DVDs.

Please note: Due to the coronavirus,  our leisure centres are currently closed and our libraries are running limited services. 


Who can apply for a card?

The LeisureLink card provides discounts for the below eligible groups.

  • Incapacity benefit or employment and support allowance
  • Council tax benefit (excluding single occupancy)

  • Foster carer
  • Looked after children (including care leavers)


Please note: 

  • All groups will need to provide satisfactory written proof of eligibility (usually a notice of entitlement from the relevant government department or authority). 
  • *Carers attending leisure centres in order to assist a disabled person will be admitted free of charge. 
  • If you are eligible and have dependent children aged 5 to 15-years-old, who are living at the same address, they can also apply for a LeisureLink card.
  • Usual admission policies for under-5s apply when accompanied by an adult with a LeisureLink card.

How to apply

  1. Complete an application form [42KB] with the following:

    • proof of concession/eligibility in at least 1 of the specific groups listed
    • the correct LeisureLink fee (see the table above)
    • photograph (if not applying in person)
    • a stamped addressed envelope, which will be used to send you your card

    If you are a Hillingdon resident (aged 18 and over), you will also need to supply you HillingdonFirst card number as proof of residency. Your LeisureLink discount will be added directly to your HillingdonFirst card, so you don't need to carry an additional card.

    If you don't have a HillingdonFirst card, you can apply for one online.
  2. Post your application,  along with a cheque payable to 'Better' (our leisure management company), to the leisure centre you wish to regularly use.
     
    Please allow 7 working days from receipt for your application to be processed.

Card renewals

  • To renew your LeisureLink card, you need to complete a new application form and supply current proof of eligibility.
  • Renewals can be made up to 1 month before the expiry date of your current card.

Please note: Reminders  will not be sent to you in advance.


Terms and conditions

  1. Discounts are not transferable; they can only be used by the named holder.
  2. False information will result in the cancellation of benefits.
  3. If members no longer qualify for the scheme, the entitlements will be cancelled.
  4. Hillingdon Council may, at any time, amend or withdraw all or part of the benefits offered.
  5. Hillingdon Council shall not be liable for any injury or loss incurred during the use of council facilities.
  6. Applications will only be accepted if required copies of documentation are submitted.
  7. Reduced rates for LeisureLink holders only apply to services listed by operators.
  8. Card holders are subject to normal facility availability, conditions of use and methods of payment.
  9. Cards must be produced prior to payment on each visit.
  10. The replacement of lost or stolen cards will be charged at £3 per card.
