Joining your local library is easy. Membership is free and open to all, so join today.
Hillingdon residents may join using their HillingdonFirst card. No further proof of ID or address is required.
If you do not have a HillingdonFirst card, visit your local library with two proofs of ID (for example, recent utility bill, driving licence). You will be asked to fill in an application form and be issued with a library card.
Sharing books from an early age is fun and educational, and it can help your child learn to read.
For child membership, parents/guardians will need to bring along their Hillingdon First card or two proofs of ID.
Hillingdon libraries run a monthly competition to reward the youngest new library joiner. If you're expecting, remember to sign up your new born quickly to be in with a chance of winning! If your child is the youngest new member of the month they will win their very own lovable Bookstart bear soft toy and a special keep sake certificate and you will receive an inspiring rhymetime booklet and CD to enjoy at home. Joining the library is free and only takes a few minutes. Ask in your local library for details.
