BBQs or fires

BBQs and fires are not allowed anywhere at the Lido or surrounding woods.

Picnics

Picnics can take place on Willow Lawn and Beach side and other areas around the Lido.

Feeding of the birds and ducks

There is a designated wooden bird feeding platform area for this activity on Willow Lawn. Please only feed birds from this location.

Note: Only feed the wildfowl with nutritious seeds and grains such as wheat, oats and cracked corn. Vegetables such as potatoes and lettuce are also better alternative to bread which is not advisable. Food should be thrown into the water to avoid encouraging the birds onto the banks.

Fishing

Fishing is permitted from 16 June to 14 March. An Environment Agency rod license is required to fish the lake. Fishing rules apply. Fishing is only permitted from the designated wooden fishing platforms.

Play areas

  • Beach side - We have a fantastic water splash pad that is very popular, which opens April to end of September.
  • We have two playgrounds. One with general swings and slides and more. The other which is more adventurous that tests your balance and strength.
  • We also have the sand area where children can build sand castles.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at the Lido but please keep your dog/dogs under proper close control at all times. Please put any dog waste in the bins provided or take it home.  Please do not let your dog chase the wildlife.  The beach side area of the Lido is a dog on lead zone at all times and dogs are not permitted on the beach. Dog control orders are applicable at Ruislip Lido and in the woods.
