Established ornamental trees and shrubs offer a more individual type of memorial.
The memorial plate can accommodate up to 125 characters of inscription and can include a motif. The plate is placed in front of the ornamental tree or shrub during the lease period.
Please note: Each tree or shrub can have up to 4 plates.
Ornamental trees are dedicated for an initial period of 10 year and shrubs for 5 years, with the option to renew. During the lease period, we accept full responsibility for the care and upkeep of the tree or shrub, including replacement should this be necessary.
The council accepts no responsibility for the upkeep of the plate.
Unless it is renewed at the end of the lease period, the plate will be removed from its location 1 month after the expiry date.
How to order
As the trees and shrubs are in limited supply, it is advisable to check availability with the crematorium office before deciding on this form of memorial.
It takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks from placing the order to delivery. Upon completion, a letter will be forwarded to the applicant advising them of the location.
Full payment must accompany your application. We are able to accept most credit and debit cards. Please make cheques payable to 'London Borough of Hillingdon'.
The council reserves the right to alter any application that is deemed unsuitable and to change the design of any memorial without giving prior notice.
