PayByPhone
PayByPhone allows you to pay for parking on the go using an app or web browser on your mobile phone or tablet without having to buy a ticket from a pay and display machine.
What you can do with the PayByPhone app
- Pay for parking from your mobile phone or tablet.
- Receive notifications when your parking session is close to running out.
- Extend your parking session.
Please note: You can still use cash or your card at Hillingdon's pay and display machines, if you prefer to.
Getting started
- Download the free app
The PayByPhone app is available from the App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android. - Create and register your account
Open the app and select register to create an account, where you will need your phone number, email address and be asked to create a password. Once your account has been created you can register your vehicle and payment details.
- Link your HillingdonFirst card to your account
Within PayByPhone go to 'My Account', followed by 'Permits'. Click on 'Apply for a permit'. Note, you may be required to log back in. Choose 'London Borough of Hillingdon' and under 'Permit type' select 'HillingdonFirst card' and type in your card number*. You will see a message saying that your card is linked to your PayByPhone account.
Once the system is live and the location codes are displayed on the machines and signposts
- Enter location code
Open the app and enter the location code for where you have parked. You can find the code by using the map function on the app or looking at the signs in the car park or near to the parking bay. You will be asked to 'select your vehicle' and enter your length of stay.
- Pay and confirm
You will see a parking summary of what you have requested, check the length of time, the cost and payment details. Proceed to pay and confirm.
*Your card number can wear off over time. If you need to find out your number, visit our HillingdonFirst card web pages.
