London Youth Games

The London Youth Games is Europe's largest sports competition where young people from across all 33 London boroughs compete against each other in more than 60 competitions across 33 different sports.

The London Youth Games are open to 8 and 18-years-old who are living in or going to school in London. 

Sports include athletics, aquathon, archery, basketball, badminton, BMX, canoeing, cycling, diving, fencing, football, handball, hockey, judo, kayak, netball, indoor rowing, sailing, squash, swimming, table tennis, tennis, trampolining, volleyball and weightlifting.

It's a fantastic opportunity to represent Hillingdon and is free to take part.

Competition format

The competition format is unique to each sport, with the majority of trials taking place throughout the year.

Most team sports will have a qualifying round (May and June time) that takes place before the finals weekend (early July).

Individual sports may be run in a slightly different format. Details will be available at the trials and can also be found on the London Youth Games website.

Cross Country

Competition date: Saturday 18 November 2023

Venue: Parliament Hill, Hampstead Heath, NW5 1QR

Entry requirements

  • Runners must either live, or go to school, in Hillingdon
  • Runners must be aged between 11 and 17-years-old
  • Runners will need to have completed an official long distanced event (e.g., Park Run or club race) to receive an official time that can be viewed on the Park Run or Power of 10 website or can be requested from an official
