Depending on the course(s) you would like to sign up for, you may need to complete a skills assessment - for other courses, you will be able to enrol straight onto them.

To enrol onto our Learning for yourself courses (which do not have a qualification attached), please enrol online via the relevant course page.

English, Maths, ESOL and digital skills courses

Our English, Maths, ESOL and digital skills courses require you to take a skills assessment before you enrol. Some assessments can be taken online and others are held in our centres - all are run by skilled staff who will guide you through everything.

These assessments can take up to 2 hours, so please allow enough time to complete them in one sitting.

Afterwards, we will be able to help you enrol in the most appropriate course(s) for you.

Courses for work and life

To enrol on our Work and life courses (which have a qualification attached), you need good English, maths and digital skills, so we routinely assess every learner before enrolment to help us guide you to the course(s) that best meets your needs.

These online assessments can take up to 2 hours, so please allow plenty of time.

If you are unable to do an skills assessment online, we will make an appointment for you to attend one of our adult education centres

Following your assessment, a subject specialist will contact you to discuss your results and give you personalised advice and guidance before you enrol in your course(s).
